If you want to hide your personal files in your office computer or your friends computer then this trick can help you a lot. The main advantage of using this trick is that you didn't have to buy or download any additional software and its very easy too.
Just follow the following steps to maintain your privacy at some other computer:
- Let us assume that you wanna lock a folder named tnt4geeks placed in C: drive (path: C:\tnt4geeks)
- Now in the parent folder/drive of the private folder (C: drive in our case), create a new notepad file and type the following code according to your private folder name:
- Now save the text file as lock.bat
- After that create another text file and type the following code, according to your private folder, in it:
- Save this file as key.bat
- Now you'll see two files namely lock and key
- If you double click on the lock.bat file you cannot view the content of folder named tnt4geeks, instead it will open Control Panel
- Now if you want to unlock it again just double click on the key.bat file and that it, you can access the folder again
