Block unwanted emails in Gmail

Are you fed-up of receiving newsletters or promotional email to your Gmail account? If yes then this post will surely help you. In this post we'll learn how to block the unwanted emails in Gmail. After reading this you can block any individual email or a whole domain.

To block the emails just follow the simple steps below:

  • Login to your Gmail account
  • Now at the top-right corner of the window click on the Settings option

  •  After that you'll see an option Filter as shown in the picture below (click to enlarge)
  • In the Filter option click on the Create new filter option
  • Now in the Form field type the email which you want to block receiving emails from and click on Next Step
  •  Here you'll see a list of operations to be performed on the email specified
  • Now just check the box in front of Delete it and click on the Create Filter button
Well that's it, now any email received from the blocked email account will be automatically sent to the trash. To again unblock the account just delete the above filter.
