In this post, I'll share some tips to get better results in a Google search.
Here are some modifiers to type in your Google search box to refine your
< " " > : Exact Phrase
Using " " sign you can search for an exact phrase you are looking for.
For example if you want to search for Tips & Tricks,
just type < "Tips & Tricks" > in the Google search box and that's it you are done.
< - > (minus) : Exclude Words
Using a minus (-) sign you can exclude your search result with a word or a phrase.
For example if type < cricket - insect >
you'll get all results about cricket that are not related to the insects.
< ~ > : Similar Words
By applying < ~ > before any word in the search box,
Google searches for the word and also for all of its synonyms.
For example if you type < ~mobile phone >,
you'll get the results with the word 'phone' as well as 'cell', 'cellular', 'wireless' etc.
OR : Multiple Words
Using OR you can search for the webpages that include either word.
For example if you type < vacation London OR Paris >,
you'll get results with the word 'vacation' and either 'London' or 'Paris'.
< ... > : Numerical Ranges
Using < ... > you can search within a range of numbers.
For example type < Gandhi 1920...1940 >,
and you'll get results about Gandhi during this time period.
define:
It defines a word or a phrase you want it to.
For example type < define:computer >, and you'll get links to definitions of the word 'computer'.
Maths Answers :
You can also get the answers of any type of maths problem.
For it you just have to type the problem in the search box that's it.
For example if you type < 1+1 > or < 25% of 100 > or < 20^2 > or etc., you'll get the answers.
